The River at 720 CFS
This level is slightly below my
minimum race flow of 800 cfs. It's worse than it looks.
The island is straight ahead. Shallow water extends from one bank to the other at this point.
The top block, which I like to make into an S turn from river left, has rocks in some very inconvenient places.
Below the drop may be the only clean eddy on the course. You just can't get to it nicely.

and the classic right upstream have lots of in-and-out barriers.
The middle drop with the nice miid-river eddy. Same problem as the section above. "Ya caint get thay'r from here."
The end of the course. There's a route somewhere in there...
